On Friday, 27th April 2012 Hakaya Band performed at the International Dance Day Palestine. Different groups from Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus and Jerusalem shared in the festival.They all presented Palestinian traditional music and dance from the different regions of the West Bank.

Ghirass Center did several activities with 300 children
ShareGhirass Center hosted on 17th and 18th April 2012 about 300 children from private kindergartens and a public school. Al Hara Theater performed a theater play which the children enjoyed very much. Moreover they learned about the center’s program and were divided in groups for activities at each Center’s department.
Palestinian Child Day celebration
ShareOn Thursday, 5th April 2012, Ghirass Center celebrated the Palestinian Child Day at Al Feneiq Hall, also attended by the board of Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation and the kindergarten supervisor from the Ministry of Education. Altogether 250 children and parents came to the celebration.

The art gallery at Ghirass Cultural Center welcomed visitors
April 19th, 2012 Melanie Scouts visited the art gallery at the Center together with their teachers.
The director of Ghirass Center, Ibtisam Ilzghayyer, welcomed them.

Ghirass Center organized an entertainment day for the children in Khas and No’man school and kindergarten
April 5th, 2012 Melanie Ghirass Center organized in cooperation with the Inad Theater an entertainment day for the reading campaign “reading enlightenment“ for the children in Khas and No’man school and Firdos kindergarten. The event took place on Tuesday, 13th March 2012 and was attended by 250 children with their parents and the teachers. Read more »
Ghirass Center concluded a session about the enlightenment which comes from reading and the importance of language.
February 23rd, 2012 Melanie On Saturday, 18th February 2012 Ghirass Center concluded two training sessions, of ten hours each, for governmental and private schools and kindergartens.
The Director of the Center, Ibtisam Ilzghayyer, concentrated on the enlightenment which comes from reading, and reading skills for pre-school children, between 0 to 6 years. She pointed out the importance of language in the development of mental processes.
